Time Management – Clutter Means Confusion

Text Wrap around Picture

Clutter means confusion.  It is about the things that lie dormant and complicate life at a deep level. By clearing things out, we move on and open up for the new to come in.

Time Management – DeClutter and Take Back Control

Text Wrap around Picture

There are two ways to get enough;

One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

G.K. Chesterton

What is your biggest clutter challenge?

What is the cost of not addressing this?

What is your aim?

What do you want your house, desk, and office to be like instead?

You can be in control.

We can’t control what is happening in the world, e.g. economic conditions, world events, unemployment, interest rates, political decisions, closer to home – we can’t control what is happening in others’ lives. What we can do is control what happens in our own environment, our own home.

How do you want to feel when you walk into your home, or when you wake up in the morning? Take a moment to visualise what you would like your home to look and feel like? It is important to start with the end in mind.

Time Management – How Comfortable is Your Comfort Zone?

Text Wrap around Picture

Do you have a nice life? Do you have an exciting life? Do you have a wonderful life? Do you have a boring life? What is your life like? Are you happy there? Really happy? Is it so wonderful and comfortable that you don’t want anything to change? Or is it that you are fearful of moving outside your comfort zone?

What is a comfort zone?

I looked up the definition and found the following in Wikipedia: The comfort zone is a behavioural state within which a person operates in an anxiety-neutral condition, using a limited set of behaviours to deliver a steady level of performance, usually without a sense of risk.

Time Management – How Much Do You Get Out of Your Life?

Text Wrap around Picture

Wow!  What a confrontational question.  I came across the following saying the other day that got me thinking.

“People do not live nowadays.

They get about 10 percent out of life.”

Isadora Duncan

How much do you get out of life?  I understand that there are things we have to do in life that we don’t always love, but how much of your life is made up of that?

Time Management – Change, It’s Not Going to be Easy!

Text Wrap around Picture

There are times in our lives when we want things to be different. It doesn’t matter what the difference is, we all have our own versions of what it is that we want to change.

Some changes are small and some of the changes are massive. The trouble is, change can sometimes be hard for us. It is about doing something new. That something may even be outside our comfort zones. For some, it may be eating better, exercise, quitting smoking, time for ourselves. Even though the change may be unique for each of us, the emotions, frustrations, hiccups can be experienced by us all.

Time Management – What You Focus On is What You Get

Text Wrap around Picture

You cannot escape the results of your thoughts.
Whatever your present environment may be,
you will fall, remain or rise with
your thoughts, your vision, your ideal.
You will become as small
as your controlling desire;
as great as your dominant aspiration.

I wish I knew who said that. Isn’t it wonderful? What do you think of it? Is it true for you? What do you want to happen in your life?

Have you heard the saying “what you focus on is what you get?” Try an experiment for me just to see what you think. Pick an area, any area of your life and start focusing on that.

Have you stopped lately to think about your life?  What is happening in your life?  Is this the life you want?  What parts of your life do you love?  What parts of your life annoy you?  What parts of your life would you like some small improvements in?

Life is forever changing.  We go through cycles in our life which begin from the moment we are born.

What do you want out of life?  Have you taken the time to think about it?  They do say we can have anything we want if we set our mind to it.  That is where the problem is for many of us.  We don’t set out mind to thinking about what it is we want.  We are caught up in the circle of life.  If you are finding it hard to think about then perhaps ponder on these questions.
